Een behouden vaart

Amy's mother Edith started here epic voyage across the world today, together with Michael. Their starting point was False Creek, so I took the opportunity to document the very first mile in their journey by shooting a picture from Granville bridge. The weather was of the Vancouver kind, with rain, so the picture is a bit hazy. Edith, make Abel Tasman proud! If you want to follow their voyage, you can read their ship's log.

Great photo, Bram. Thank you for seeing us off. We are now alongside the FCYC out-station float in Ganges on Saltspring Island.

Ach, ze zijn met z'n tweeen en ouder dan 13 jaar en met state of the art equipment, dus die redden het wel en hoeven we niet onder toezicht te plaatsen van de Raad van de Ouder Bescherming.

Next stop is San Francisco?

I don't think that we need permission to go; I hope not, because we didn't ask. Next stop Sooke for dinner at the Sooke Harbour House, then Friday to Port Angeles long enough to clear customs... then to San Francisco.
